Malecon

By Alberto Fernandez, Momus Bar in Madrid, Spain

GLASS
  • Old fashioned
GARNISH

The inspiration came from the trade sea route that linked the two Malecones, Santiago de Cuba and Cadiz since the 16th century. The two cities celebrated each year their own Carnaval and Momus was the God of the Carnaval, Momo in Spanish. We wanted to mix a daiquiri and a mai tai and make it more floral.

METHOD
  • 40ml Ron Santiago de Cuba 11 Years Old
  • 35ml Lime juice
  • 15ml Elderflower liqueur
  • 20ml Hibiscus and flax seed orgeat
